Dennis Roberts joins Block by Block as Vice President of Operations

New addition to executive team supports company’s continued growth and operational excellence

Block by Block is pleased to announce the hiring of Dennis Roberts as Vice President of Operations. Dennis joins the company following the promotion of Derreck Hughes to Executive Vice President, a newly created leadership position designed to support the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Dennis brings extensive executive leadership experience spanning multiple industries and organizations experiencing significant growth and transformation. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, strengthening operational systems, and creating organizational structures that support sustainable success.

Since joining Block by Block in late April, Dennis has spent his time immersing himself in the company’s operations, traveling to programs, meeting with Ambassadors, and gaining firsthand insight into the impact Block by Block has on the communities and public spaces it serves.

As Vice President of Operations, Dennis will provide leadership and strategic oversight for the company’s nationwide operations while helping advance systems, processes, and organizational development initiatives that support Block by Block’s continued expansion.

The decision to recruit externally for the role was intentional. While Block by Block is proud of its history of developing leaders from within, company leadership recognized an opportunity to bring in a new perspective as the organization continues to evolve.
